TUCON(TM), SAN FRANCISCO, April 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX) and Infosys Technologies (Nasdaq: INFY) today announced a significant expansion to their 10-year partnership that will ensure the successful implementation of service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Mr. Chandrasekhar Kakal, senior vice president, Enterprise Solutions, Infosys Technologies, said, "Infosys believes that service oriented architecture, coupled with business process management-centric strategic planning, can catalyze business transformation initiatives for organizations. However, there is a next generation of challenges emerging as companies move to implement SOA, namely those tied to deploying and governing services. TIBCO, with its recent ActiveMatrix release, offers a holistic and optimized approach to delivering and deploying infrastructure applications through its unique container-based, service virtualization platform. We are excited to join the Early Adopter Program and expand this strategic relationship."

Both companies are deeply committed to helping customers realize the benefits of SOA. The expanded alliance will combine technology, services, and industry best practices from both TIBCO and Infosys. It will offer customers implementation guidelines based on real-world experience. Further, TIBCO and Infosys will collaborate to develop joint solutions featuring TIBCO ActiveMatrix. The partnership will highlight the benefits of service virtualization, serve the growing demand for education, and ensure that customers are equipped with the right skills to solve their unique business problems. Customers of both companies will gain an in-depth understanding of project methodologies and relevant industry standards, as well as access to 'how-to' resources for modernizing and integrating legacy systems and business processes within a service-oriented architecture.

"We are excited to strengthen our partnership with one of the industry's recognized pioneers in global consulting and IT services," said Ram Menon, executive vice president, worldwide marketing, TIBCO. "Together, TIBCO and Infosys will be able to provide strategic direction and expert assistance with customer challenges across the SOA lifecycle."
