Oracle(R) Application Server 10g Outperforms IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic

Oracle Application Server 10g coupled with Oracle Database 10g, achieved an impressive performance result of 874.17 SPECjAppServer2004 JOPS@Standard (jAppServer Operations Per Second). Both the application server and database machines were running on an HP Integrity rx2660 server with two dual-core Intel Itanium 2 1.6 GHz processors and the HP-UX 11i v.3 operating system. The winning combination of Oracle Application Server 10g with Oracle Database 10g surpassed the best IBM WebSphere Application result in performance per core by more than seven percent. In addition, this remarkable Oracle SPECjAppServe2004 result outperformed the best BEA WebLogic result in performance per core by 19 percent.
