SAN ANTONIO, May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced that AT&T's portfolio of managed Web hosting services received high rankings across the board in a recent product assessment by the research firm, Current Analysis.

Current Analysis gave AT&T's managed Web hosting services its highest "outstanding" rating in two of five customer buying criteria that included Applications Support and Business Continuity Services. Also, AT&T's services were ranked "strong" — a four star out of five rating — in categories that covered Service Level Agreements, Operating System and Server Platforms supported, and Supplemental Services.

"AT&T provides an excellent value that delivers the range of services that enterprises need in order to run their businesses effectively, backed by the quality that customers have come to expect from a provider such as AT&T," said Counse Broders, research director, with Current Analysis. "AT&T's broad set of hosting solutions makes it easier for customers to offload core IT management tasks and redirect internal resources to areas of higher business value."

The report notes AT&T's recent acquisition of USinternetworking (USi) and the addition of AT&T Southeast (formerly BellSouth) as key factors in allowing AT&T to increase its focus in the managed application space and to tap new domestic markets for hosting services. It also credits AT&T's ability to support these services out of 32 global Internet data centers (IDCs) — with plans to expand to 38 by the end of 2007 — providing it with an advantage in deploying applications worldwide.

"This report underscores what customers consistently tell us — that AT&T's hosting and application services deliver a solid approach to meet a wide variety of business needs," said Steven Caniano, vice president, AT&T. "This is an acknowledgement of both the breadth and quality of AT&T's hosting portfolio, which supports an extensive list of software and hardware platforms as well as innovative technologies such as virtualization and visual reporting tools — all backed by our world-class customer servicing team and the global presence of AT&T."

AT&T provides a broad array of IT infrastructure and application-management services that help support the operations of customers ranging from small and medium businesses up to the largest global corporations. These services allow AT&T to support customer needs for corporate Web sites, e-commerce, enterprise applications, digital content delivery, multiplayer online gaming, collaborative intranets and extranets, data backup and recovery, and more.

AT&T Enterprise Hosting Services offer a rich portfolio of flexible hosting solutions including security, storage, intelligent content distribution, disaster recovery and load-balancing options with Virtual Private Network and data networking integration. AT&T's Enterprise Hosting Services deliver a fully integrated application and networking infrastructure to handle the simplest to the most demanding hosting requirements, and professional services that simplify and streamline the integration of components from separate vendors.

AT&T's hosting services further support business continuity requirements, delivering an always-on infrastructure and recovery capabilities helping customers restore their networking and application infrastructure quickly if something unexpected does happen.
