AudioCodes Releases VoIPerfect(TM) Solution for WiMAX CPE on Intel(R) WiMAX Connection 2250

LOD, Israel, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AudioCodes (Nasdaq: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced the release of its VoIPerfect(TM) solution for WiMAX CPE applications, adapted for Intel(R) WiMAX Connection 2250 (previously codenamed "Rosedale 2") chipset.

LOD, Israel, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AudioCodes (Nasdaq: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced the release of its VoIPerfect(TM) solution for WiMAX CPE applications, adapted for Intel(R) WiMAX Connection 2250 (previously codenamed "Rosedale 2") chipset.

AudioCodes provides a complete and ready to use toolkit including a hardware reference design for a VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) and a Linux-based SIP VoIP application, fully integrated and tested with the Intel(R) WiMAX Connection 2250. The VoIPerfect(TM) architecture, which has been deployed for over 12 years, includes a DSP firmware, media processing VoicePacketizer(TM) stack, SIP stack and call control layer for a complete SIP VoIP application. Additionally, an infrastructure is provided to allow the configuration and management of the stand-alone SIP VoIP application from the user's main application.

Echo cancellation, T.38 Fax relay, conferencing and flexible telephony signals detection and generation complement the Carrier Class VoIPerfect(TM) solution. Special emphasis was given to highly cost effective BOM design that enables a competitive WiMAX CPE design for both indoor and outdoor installations.
