DARMSTADT, Germany, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ — Software AG, a global leader in business infrastructure software, today announced that Integration World 2007 will be held on November 5-7, 2007 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida. This sixth annual global conference brings together webMethods and Software AG customers to discuss how IT can 'amplify' its role in improving business performance. Key strategies for business integration, service-oriented architecture (SOA), business process management (BPM) and legacy modernization will be shared in over thirty in-depth sessions, which are being led by the product experts themselves as well as practitioners in the field.
Following Software AG's recent acquisition of webMethods, the program has been expanded to provide users with first-hand insight into the combined company's long-term product strategy and vision. Leading these discussions with keynote presentations will be Karl-Heinz Streibich, Chief Executive Officer, Software AG; David Mitchell, President/COO Business Division webMethods and Member of the Executive Board; and Dr. Peter Kurpick, President/CPO Business Division webMethods and Member of the Executive Board. Other featured keynoters include FedEx Kinko's CIO Richard Maranville, business strategist Peter Schwartz, world-class adventurer Erik Weihenmayer and Bruce Williams, co-author of Lean for Dummies and Six Sigma for Dummies, and Software AG's general manager for Business Process Management solutions.
"Integration World has long served as one of our industry's most powerful and inspiring events, and this is certain to be true this year as well," said Streibich. "I invite all of our users to join us this November as we share our vision for the future of the business infrastructure market. I'm particularly excited by the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our customer's success. By working in partnership with customers to leverage the combined strengths of webMethods and Software AG, we can enable breakthroughs in performance that were previously unobtainable."
Inside Integration World 2007
"This year, we want to show enterprise users — from technical developers to business strategists — how to amplify IT," said Ivo Totev, Chief Marketing Officer, Software AG. "We've assembled a world-class collection of customer- led presentations plus a variety of hands-on and in-depth technical programs on SOA, BPM, integration, legacy modernization and more. New tracks highlight what the Software AG acquisition offers webMethods customers. And we've made additional provisions to host Software AG customers in anticipation of our biggest and best event yet."
This year's event promises to be the most important Integration World ever. As a result of its recent merger with webMethods, Software AG now boasts more than 4,000 enterprise customers in over seventy countries and the company is expecting record attendance for this year's conference. From a product perspective, webMethods and Software AG's recent ground-breaking and award-winning releases will take center stage as customers will have the chance to evaluate the newly expanded webMethods product suite first-hand. Keynote presentations by Streibich, Mitchell, and Kurpick will provide additional insight into forthcoming product enhancements as well as other initiatives underway to further improve the customer experience.
The 2007 Customer Innovation Awards will also be presented at the conference. This annual awards program recognizes leading enterprises for their ability to create measurable business value using Software AG technology. Past winners include Johnson & Johnson, Ahold, Avnet, Motorola, The Bosch Group, Eastman Chemical Company, and Wells Fargo & Company. The judges for this year's program include David Buckholtz, vice president, Planning, Enterprise Architecture & Quality, Sony Pictures Entertainment; Paul Harmon, executive editor, Business Process Trends; and Ken Vollmer, principal analyst, Forrester Research.
Attendees will also enjoy access to more than forty track session presentations focused on different components of business infrastructure, including developer-led product education sessions as well as real-world case studies presented by the actual practitioners. Track session topics can be viewed on-line at http://www.integrationworld2007.com. The conference has also been extended for the company's Adabas, Natural and Crossvision customers with an additional day of programming added for these customers. This will occur on Sunday, November 4, 2007, immediately prior to the official conference opening. Sessions with Streibich, Kurpick and ETS CTO Joe Gentry will address the specific interests of these user communities while setting the stage for these customers to take maximum advantage of the rest of Integration World.
To foster networking opportunities at the conference, attendees are also invited to the Integration World 2007 Customer Celebration, which will be held at Universal Studios. The conference will also offer ample opportunities to explore and evaluate new solutions from Software AG and numerous industry partners in the Solutions Hall.
For a limited time, attendees who register before August 15, 2007, will receive an early bird discount, which represents a US$200.00 savings off normal registration rates for Integration World 2007. In addition, early bird registrants will have the first opportunity to register for additional instructor-led, hands-on product training being offered in conjunction with the conference. In years past, this training has sold-out. Popular SOA and BPM "Master Classes" will also be taking place at no additional cost in conjunction with the conference. New this year will be additional Data Management and Development "Master Classes" for the company's ETS customers.
