					<description>I install OEL and 10g ad nauseum with no problem. Sounds like the author needs to RTFM and try again.

By the way, OEL and RHEL are binary compatible and no fork in the kernel. Same OS.</description>

					<description>Sure ... the free version of oracle also has an RPM ... rpm -Uvh  and you are done.

the real version (at least through 10i) is quite a bit more painful though.</description>
