The "V"elocity Series Application Continuity Appliances for Microsoft Exchange continues to provide high availability and disaster recovery for Microsoft Exchange, and enhances the capabilities of the original family of Application Continuity Appliances in two key ways:

1) Virtualization technology to protect entire Exchange "ecosystem"

In addition to Exchange server failover protection, the new "V"elocity appliances' 64-bit virtual machine architecture expands plug-&-go continuity protection to encompass the Exchange server, mobile communications (Blackberry Enterprise Server), and Active Directory, plus it supports backup/restore functionality. The enhanced continuity protection for the business critical communication infrastructure, coupled with Teneros' trademark "Hands-Free IT(TM)," provides a complete continuity solution for busy IT departments.

2) Expanded support for 50 to 2000 mailboxes and multiple terabytes of storage

The "V"elocity series supports growing businesses by providing an easy upgrade path as companies require increased mailboxes and storage. The "V"elocity Series Application Continuity Appliances for Microsoft Exchange start at 50 mailboxes and 90 Gigbytes of storage and go up 2000 mailboxes with multiple Terabytes of storage, ranging in price from $7,000 to $27,000.

"When the Exchange ecosystem fails, including email and mobile messaging, businesses are crippled," said Steve Lewis, Teneros CEO. "Our new "V"elocity series continuity appliances offer enhanced protection for business-critical communications applications and data that fuel businesses worldwide. And, the design of our new appliances allows our customers to protect their Exchange ecosystems today and easily migrate to Exchange 2007 tomorrow."

Insurance company C.V. Starr has already purchased eight "V"elocity high-availability and disaster recovery appliances to support 600 mailboxes at five offices spread across three countries on two continents. "We were initially attracted to the Teneros appliance for its simple installation and Teneros' remote, "hands-free IT" which includes appliance monitoring, update, and maintenance, freeing our internal IT resources for other projects," said John Harte, director of IT operations. "We then discovered the additional protection for our Blackberry Enterprise Server, which is an added bonus offered by the "V"elocity series appliances and extremely important to us since we depend on BES for our mobile communications."

"A comprehensive, remotely managed, appliance-based solution is a simple and cost-effective answer to the IT challenges that mid-market companies face," said Michael Osterman, principal analyst of Osterman Research. "For cost-conscious companies with limited IT staff, Teneros' new "V"elocity series not only provides an effective way to protect against planned and unplanned Exchange outages, but also protects the other critical components of the Exchange environment, such as Blackberry and Active Directory in Virtual Machines running within a single appliance."

Teneros appliances were designed to meet the email continuity demands of today's businesses. The plug-&-go appliances protect essential communications by assuring 24X7, ongoing email operation and access to the valuable email data, calendars, and attachments that power business operations. Whenever an Exchange server requires regularly planned maintenance, experiences an outage, or when an entire site goes down, Teneros appliances take over email operation from the downed Exchange server or site. This process is transparent to end-users as all client software (Outlook, Outlook Web Access, etc.) continues to operate normally with all email access and functionality maintained.

Teneros launched the first application continuity appliance two years ago and has since received a number of awards, including:

— 2007 Microsoft(R) Partner of the Year award, OEM Hardware Solutions, Device Manufacturing. — AlwaysOn Top 100 Private Companies awards in recognition of technical innovation in both 2006 and 2007. — Computer Reseller News Emerging Tech Dynamo award in both 2006 and 2007.
