Not since Virgina Tech's innovations has Apple done anything. It was great then at 12.25 Sustained Tflops at a cost of $5.2 Million to $5.8 Million. Compare it to Alix's Ice Intel System at a Rmax of 126 Tflops for $11 Million purchased by New Mexico's Computational Center!

Why can't they put 2 of these same intel Quad Processors in an Apple 1U system?

You are right to say that they have no visible roadmap as I have searched the net everywhere! In a $58 Billion Market for HPCs, you have to let people know what's comming down the pipes in order that they can wait and prepare for it.

Apple, you are anal idoits!

A long time ago I heard that a Mac server was called a "Big Mac". Not sure if the guy who told me this was joking or not. But thought it was funny.

Years ago when I had my own consulting company, I didn't even realize Apple had a Server until one day I walked into an all Apple shop and saw one. Sure we supported Apple but you can imagine how my heart fell when I saw something that I didn't even know existed sitting there...broken.
They aren't serious about their almost unknown Server. They have never been. And now since the MacOS is a hybrid FreeBSD/NeXT, I don't suspect they ever will be.
