dcVAST Broadens the Scope of Its IT Infrastructure Management Practice

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- dcVAST has signed a partnering agreement with Hewlett Packard intended to broaden the scope of its Infrastructure Management practice. dcVAST historically supported Unix environments with specific focus on Sun Microsystems' Solaris operating system as the core. As dcVAST expanded that focus to include first, the Linux operating system, and more recently Microsoft Windows operating system, it became apparent that the customers were clamoring for dcVAST to support a broader set of technologies.

Hewlett Packard servers and storage products will become integral components in dcVAST's IT solutions around server based computing and storage management. These solutions include consolidation and virtualization of the data centers, information life cycle management, and backup and recovery.
