The 2008 ScreenBurn Festival, the gaming component of SXSW Interactive, is a five-day event providing up-and-coming gaming industry talent an opportunity to learn from more established professionals. The 11th annual Web Awards, one of the most popular evening events at the SXSW Interactive Festival, uncovers the best new websites and celebrates those who are building and implementing tomorrow's online trends.
Eugene Mirman, a comedian, writer and filmmaker best known for his work on the hit HBO show, "Flight of The Concords," and from his appearances on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," will emcee the 2008 Web Awards Ceremony, which is presented by Adobe.
iF! Interactive/Film Trade Show (opens at noon Sunday, Monday and Tuesday)
With more than 125 booths, the three-day Interactive/Film (iF!) Trade Show + Exhibition reveals tools for development and productivity used by digital creatives and filmmakers alike. The exhibiting companies that come together to promote their services and organizations supporting independent filmmaking and digital culture are represented in this part of the conference as well.
