MILAN, Italy, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Pulvermedia and Wireless today announced that VON.x is returning to Rome as part of the fourth annual Broadband Business Forum event, which is Europe's largest and most significant ICT event, scheduled to take place 22-23 October, at the Marriott Park Hotel in Rome.

MILAN, Italy, March 10 /PRNewswire/ — Pulvermedia and Wireless today announced that VON.x is returning to Rome as part of the fourth annual Broadband Business Forum event, which is Europe's largest and most significant ICT event, scheduled to take place 22-23 October, at the Marriott Park Hotel in Rome.

The prestigious Marriott Park Hotel of Rome, which is the largest Congress Center in Europe, will host the two day event. Exhibition space has doubled from last year's event, to accommodate the increased number of exhibitors, sponsors and pavilions at the show. The prestigious location also facilitates informal meetings and networking opportunities amongst the high-level guests who attend VON.x and the Broadband Business Forum.

Now in its fourth year, the combined events achieved record success in 2007, attracting more than 4,000 visitors, from 16 different countries. The show featured more than 200 speakers, in almost 50 specialized sessions. The Expo featured 142 sponsors, exhibitors and partners. More than 30-percent of the participants were international, and the event attracted representatives of Italian and European regulators, such as AgCOM, ITU and ERG. For 2008, participation from exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, industry regulators, and international guests is expected to improve significantly.

Since 2005, The Broadband Business Forum at the Marriott Park Hotel has been the only Italian event that gathers politicians, institutions, and operators to analyze the issues, trends, and the challenges affecting the broadband industry (http://www.bbfeurope.com). The event will also address: the destiny of WiMAX; the new services revolution; NGN; mobile Virtual Network Operators; the arrival of femtocells; and many other topics.

VON.x Europe returns to Italy for the third consecutive year, to reclaim its position as the most important international event dedicated to IP Communications. Its creator, Jeff Pulver, will participate in this event as part of the VON.x world tour, which includes eleven appointments around the world. VON.x in Rome is the place where the IP community in the Mediterranean meets to network, debate, and do business together. There are many enhancements to the agenda planed for this year, with a bigger international focus: http://www.vonitaly.com.

XoIP is in Rome: VON.x will address the present and the future of all communications over IP. It will discuss how today's diverse networks are transitioning to IP, to create a single, unified infrastructure that produces next-generation communications services, and enables intelligent handheld devices to take over many of the tasks performed today by PCs. VON.x in Rome will focus on wireless technologies and unified communications more than any previous VON event has. It will cover Voice, Video, Open Source, the channel, and everything over the internet — or XoIP.

Save the Date: Join us on 22-23 October at the Marriot Park Hotel in Rome, for VON.x and BBF 2008.
