RESTON, Va., April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the Federal/Civilian Sector of QinetiQ North America's IT Services Group a prime contract to develop and implement a new enterprise software application for the Public Building Service: the electronic Requirements Development Process (eRDP). The contract has a value of nearly $20 million over the next five years, if all options are exercised. RESTON, Va., April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ — The General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the Federal/Civilian Sector of QinetiQ North America's IT Services Group a prime contract to develop and implement a new enterprise software application for the Public Building Service: the electronic Requirements Development Process (eRDP). The contract has a value of nearly $20 million over the next five years, if all options are exercised. QinetiQ North America will provide the Public Building Service requirements development, business process engineering, architecture, design, development, operations and maintenance, and training.
eRDP will automate such tasks as online surveys, survey analysis utilities, property walkthroughs, business intelligence, and non-space requirements management. The application integrates with multiple enterprise solutions and delivers functionality both on- and off-line through multiple access points, including mobile devices. eRDP will be the first application to fully leverage the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructure that QinetiQ North America is currently implementing for the Public Building Service through the eCommon initiative.

The eRDP project supports the Public Building Service's Human Capital Initiative, redefining the way PBS associates interact with their customers. eRDP is the first phase of the Full Lifecycle of Customer Interaction (FLCI), which will cover other mission-critical systems. The FLCI is the full collection of business processes the Public Building Service uses to meet customer space requirements, from request initiation through space allocation and inventory management.
