REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 1 /PRNewswire/ — MokaFive(TM), the next- generation desktop virtualization company, today expanded its management team with new executive appointments. John Whaley, a co-founder of the company, has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer while former Cisco/IronPort executive, Ravi Khatod, joins the company as Vice President of Sales. In addition, MokaFive rounded out its advisory board with the addition of Dale Fuller, a seasoned technology veteran with a strong background in operations and information security.

"MokaFive is at an important stage of growth, having just launched our vision for virtual desktops as a service," said Bill Demas, President and CEO, MokaFive. "John's deep technical know-how, Ravi's proven ability to drive revenue growth and Dale's leadership and experience building shareholder value will be invaluable to the company as we expand our footprint in the desktop virtualization market."

In his new role as CTO, Dr. Whaley will be responsible for the technical vision for MokaFive. He co-founded MokaFive in 2005 with his research colleagues from Stanford University and was a principal engineer behind the company's flagship offering.

Mr. Khatod assumes the role of Vice President of Sales, a new position with responsibility for revenue growth. With over 15 years in software sales, Mr. Khatod brings a strong track record in building effective sales teams, introducing new products, penetrating new markets, and exceeding revenue targets. He comes to MokaFive from Cisco Systems' IronPort business unit, where he was Group Vice President for Email Compliance and Encryption products. He joined IronPort through its acquisition of PostX, where, as Domestic Vice President of Sales, he oversaw doubling of revenues and a five- fold increase in the company's customer base.

Mr. Fuller, a technology veteran with extensive experience in starting and growing both technology and consumer businesses, joins an advisory board of industry and academic luminaries. As an advisor, he will provide guidance and industry insight to MokaFive's global distribution strategy. Mr. Fuller commented: "Though still a nascent space, desktop virtualization will change the way we think about both business and personal computing. MokaFive's virtual desktops as a service approach-simple in its design yet powerful in its technical prowess and execution-reduces many of the complexities and security issues associated with desktop management."

Currently, Mr. Fuller is on the board of Krugle and Phoenix Technologies. He has served as interim CEO of McAfee and CEO of Borland, both of which experienced huge shareholder value and revenue growth during his tenure. Prior to that, he founded WhoWhere, an Internet community site acquired by Lycos, and led the expansion startups such as Angelfire.com and Mailcity. He is an active personal investor in approximately 60 different early stage startups in Silicon Valley, China and India.
