Bay Microsystems&apos CFO Nominated Finalist for the San Francisco Bay Area CFO of the Year Award

(Bay), the world's fastest growing network processor company and leading provider of high performance Wide Area Virtualization and Extension solutions, today announced that the company's chief financial officer (CFO), Michael McDonald, has been nominated as a finalist for the prestigious San Francisco Bay Area CFO of the Year award presented by the San Francisco Business Times and the Larkin Street Youth Services organization.

McDonald was selected as one of three finalists in the venture-backed company category of the unique award program that recognizes unsung heroes who have played a critical role in the success of their companies and honors others who have improved the quality of life in the community. The awards will be presented at a dinner on May 29, 2008, at Palace Hotel in San Francisco, with the proceeds benefitting the Larkin Street Youth Services organization.

McDonald has served as the CFO for Bay Microsystems since May 2004 and has played an integral role in supporting the company's growth and profitability. Prior to Bay, he was VP of Finance, CFO and Secretary of Integrated Silicon Solutions, Inc. (ISSI), a publicly owned fabless developer of high performance memory semiconductors. Prior to ISSI, Mike was Senior VP of Finance, CFO and Secretary of REMEC, Inc., a publicly owned designer and manufacturer of RF/microwave frequency subsystems.
