Last week we quietly added Gravatar support to the LinuxMagazine.com site. If you have a Gravatar account then your pic should automatically appear next your comments. If you do not have a free Gravatar account you can sign up for one in a matter of seconds.
For your Gravatar to appear on the site the email address you registered with on LinuxMagazine.com needs to match one of the addresses you have stored in your Gravatar account; Gravatar accounts can support multiple email addresses. If you’ve forgotten what email address you used on this site, you can quickly find that here.
Bryan Richard is a writer and software developer, avid runner, pretty good cook, and has a habit of buying more books than he can read. He's also the VP of Community and Infrastructure for Linux Magazine. If you like you can drop him a note.
Hmm, I have a gravatar account, the email is the same although my nickname isn’t and the gravatar doesn’t appear on this site. Is there some troubleshooting I can do?
It looks like it’s showing up now. Maybe a caching issue on our end that needed some time to work its way through the system. Or did you make adjustments to your account?
Sorry for the delay in replying. No, I haven’t made any changes and, yes, the gravatar shows now. Caching must have been the problem. Thanks for your reply.
