Hi Jakub!

I am using Ubuntu Hardy and installed the binaries that are in the repositories.

The logging took a long time to start on my system. I left my system on over the weekend and now things are going wonderfully well.

However, graphs from my colleague's system, where I installed the node, has not yet started displaying.

Thank you, Jereme for the reply, my cron.d/munin file has the entry. It works fine now.

The install should have created /etc/cron.d/munin. If it didn't, the full content of the file should be:

#
# cron-jobs for munin
#

MAILTO=root

*/5 * * * *     munin test -x /usr/bin/munin-cron && /usr/bin/munin-cron

I had been trying setup netmrg for the past week and was facing a lot of problems with SNMP. It is gud that Munin doesn't rely on that. The installation progresses wonderfully well. Thank you for the wonderful description!

However, you have mentioned that the munin master will run a cronjob every 5 minutes. Will an entry be added to the /etc/cronjob file? My installation does not have one. If it is needed, can you please elucidate the line please?
