WAUCONDA, Ill., June 24 /PRNewswire/ — MBX Systems, a leading contract manufacturer and integrator of server appliances for OEMs and independent software vendors (ISVs), today announced an expanded partnership with Secure Passage to reinforce the global deployment of FireMon, the company's Security Operations Management solution.
MBX Systems recently announced a global expansion of its operations, including a new European distribution facility that will expedite delivery of customer appliances. That release coincided with a statement from Secure Passage announcing its expanded global sales and marketing presence. Both companies anticipate their expansion efforts will provide product support and maintenance capabilities closer to end users outside North America. MBX Systems also extended its trial management distribution program to Europe for customers to stock and rapidly ship trial evaluation units of its appliances.
MBX Systems has manufactured server appliances for Secure Passage since 2004. During this time, MBX has seen increased demand for appliance-based deployments of Secure Passage's FireMon application. According to Jill Bellak, COO of MBX Systems, "The appliance model has quickly become the accepted, and often preferred, method for delivering an application because of its performance advantages and lower total cost of ownership. MBX is excited to support Secure Passage as both companies grow."
Secure Passage is also enthusiastic. Jody Brazil, CTO of Secure Passage said, "Our appliance is the best way to deliver FireMon. Each appliance is an end-to-end solution intended solely to run FireMon. The hardware has a hardened Linux operating system that is purpose-built for the application. Also, the appliance is properly provisioned with the right processing and memory to run FireMon. As a result, our customers find it easy to deploy and maintain."
"Providing turnkey appliance solutions allows companies like Secure Passage to maintain their focus on developing, rather than supporting, applications. Secure Passage's FireMon application is deployed by users around the world, so we designed the appliance with simplicity in mind," said Bellak. "With the global expansion of Secure Passage and MBX, we have the opportunity to reinforce a quality user experience for global audiences. From order placement to appliance shipment to application deployment, Secure Passage's end users can expect efficient delivery and timely support."
