Sonatype to Lead New Eclipse Project to Integrate Maven into Eclipse

PALO ALTO, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire/ — Sonatype, the leader in Java development infrastructure, today announced that they will contribute their m2eclipse project, an Eclipse plug-in that tightly integrates Maven and Eclipse, to the Eclipse Foundation and lead a new Eclipse Technology Project. The existing project will serve as the starting point for the Eclipse m2eclipse project. The move shows Sonatype's strong commitment to open source and to the integration of Eclipse and Maven, combining the world's most popular IDE with the most popular Java build and release framework and repository.
