Accelera Solutions is a leader in the burgeoning IT virtualization space, specializing in desktop, server and application virtualization. Transforming the way organizations compute, virtualization allows one computer do the job of many across multiple environments. Organizations can host multiple operating systems and applications locally and/or in remote locations. The myriad benefits range from energy and cost savings, higher availability, enhanced security, improved desktop management and better disaster recovery capabilities. Economic pressures, telework and other remote work habits, and government regulations are driving this tremendous shift toward virtualization technologies.
As a Citrix Systems(TM) Platinum Partner and VMware Enterprise Partner, Accelera has provided Virtual Access solutions to more than 70 federal, state and municipal clients and over 500 commercial entities. In recognition of Accelera's market share in the federal space, it was named Citrix Federal Partner of the Year in both 2007 and 2006. Also this year, Accelera opened a Southeast Regional Office for sales and engineering in Atlanta, GA, and a sales office in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
"If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500," said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. "These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growing companies in the nation-the ones coming up with solutions to some of our knottiest problems, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can't live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine's tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition," said Berentson.
Accelera was also recently listed as one of the top 50 Fastest Growing Companies by the Washington Business Journal.
"This has been a dynamic year for us, and we're pleased to have been recognized in such an influential forum as the Inc. 500," said Joe Brown, president, Accelera Solutions. "We doubled year-over-year revenue between 2006 and 2007, and opened our first regional headquarters office in Atlanta, as well as a new sales office. These milestones are testaments to our smart growth strategies, as well as the exploding opportunity for virtualization in the public and private sectors," said Brown.
Inc. magazine reported that sales for this year's top 50 surpassed last year's top 50 by $541 million. This year's fastest 50 also boasted a staggering 47 percent jump in average three-year growth from last year's top of the class.
