MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ — ClearApp, a provider of comprehensive application service management (ASM) for J2EE-based composite applications, today announced the general availability of the latest version of its flagship ASM solution, QuickVision 7.5. The most significant enhancement for this release is the support for Oracle(R) SOA Suite, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware.

ClearApp QuickVision 7.5 contains a number of enhancements that allow SOA application owners to gain top-down performance visibility across their composite applications. In addition to support for Oracle SOA Suite, QuickVision now supports applications built on the latest versions of IBM(R) WebSphere 6.1 and Oracle(R) WebLogic 10 application servers.

ClearApp has communicated in various media (including a press release dated December 10, 2007), the beta availability of ClearApp QuickVision 7.5 as of December 10, 2007, with scheduled general availability in February 2008. QuickVision 7.5 was to deliver a number of usability enhancements including:

— real-time change management to dynamically assess the potential impact of any dependency change on service levels prior to planned downtime and then to automatically reconfigure the model

— visibility across application middleware in heterogeneous environments, such as Oracle BPEL Process Manager running on BEA WebLogic Application Server

— support of Oracle SOA Suite to provide customers a top-down topology of their SOA applications across heterogeneous platforms

— top-down relationship topology of BPEL workflows, web services and ESBs across heterogeneous middleware platforms

The planned release date for QuickVision 7.5 was not met and ClearApp has decided not to include the features and functionality as listed above in its product. ClearApp is currently reviewing its product roadmap. Any resulting development and timing of release of features and functionality as determined by ClearApp's review remains at the sole discretion of ClearApp.

"We are extremely excited to officially release QuickVision 7.5," said Jason Donahue, president and CEO, ClearApp. "This version of QuickVision demonstrates ClearApp's clear commitment to supporting the enterprise software market's migration from the traditional application integration approach to one that is business-process centric."

ASM bridges the IT visibility gap inherent in today's complex composite applications. Without having the context ASM provides, it has become virtually impossible to effectively diagnose application service problems in enterprise applications that leverage multiple layers of middleware. Well-managed composite applications allow organizations to unlock the value of the sophisticated and rich services they can provide. Further, an IT operations team must understand an application's logic to be able to effectively conduct the impact analysis required to stay ahead of potential application problems.
