List Rental / Dedicated Email Blast Specifications

When submitting your content for an email blast, please provide the following two files:

HTML FILE

• Fully built HTML creative — 600 pixel width maximum
• ASCII format
• 80k maximum file size
• Submit as .html file. NOTE: Any formatting or font specs in the code must occur in the body of the code (no linked CSS files) and not in the first or tags
• Client/agency or Linux Magazine can host images
• Creative must include opt out verbiage, link and snail mail address

TEXT FILE

• Each line of text must a maximum be 67 characters long. No limit on length.
• ASCII format
• No special characters or symbols – including: Ó â Ô
• Text must include opt out verbiage, link and snail mail address
• Submit as .txt file

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS

• Subject line (one subject line per drop)
• Sender’s name (example: “Research in Motion”). Default is “Linux Magazine”

SUPPRESSION LIST

Please provide your suppression list as a plain-text file (CSV or carriage return separated) that contains email addresses only (no demographic information, date, &c.).
