Opera is always improving, it\'s true about the missing extensions but this keep Opera as light as possible unlike Firefox.

Opera 10.60 still has bugs with flash plugins so keep on eye on process called \"operapluginwrap\".

Opera is the best browser ever. Have been using it since early versions both on Win and Lin. Fast, modern and versatile.

Every browser claims to be the best.
Every browser has it's own fans and every fans claims that their browser is the best. :)

Me, I have both Opera, Firefox, and Chrome browser installed.

At least we can all agree that Internet Explorer is the worst browser out there right now.

I didn't hear anyone bemoaning I.E.

Have to say, I've been running Opera under Linux for years. I'm glad they've ported it to GTK, but it's still buggy. I've turned off everything but Javascript, and still occasionally Opera totally paralyses my entire system, completely and utterly.

I'm not sure if it's my Gnome and GTK theme system, but, I'm having some colour issues also in the interface. And I've abandoned the mail, due to visual formatting.

Killer features that I can't live without are: user stylesheets, fit to width, zoom and keyboard navigation.

Opera 10.5 series on my PowerPC with OSX tiger, was complete and utter trash. I've reverted to 10.10, cursing it's nags about upgrading.

I use Chrome a little. I like to apply my own styles, but there seems to be no control in chrome. I fluctuate between Firefox and Opera.

I think they all could do with a little spit and polish. The whole UI of Firefox needs a sort out, I'd carry on but I've moaned about it before on here.

Credos to Opera for actually giving a hoot about Linux, it's much appreciated.

I'm one of the few that bought Opera, and that's saying something as I am a FLOSS man in the main.

Clarification re post from @humberto.fuentealba:
The process "operapluginwrap" on Linux sometimes runs away with itself, consuming all the cpu resource. Even when it's idle, it consumes about 5%. I don't know what it is for, but terminating it seems to have no adverse affect. Use the system monitor to observe it and terminate it, or use
ps -ef
and
kill -9 pid
 from the shell.

Opera still the best though :)

That's why I turn plugins off on 64bit machine. Have to say that Opera are good listeners if you do have problems - go over there and tell them.

Call me old fashioned - but I'd rather play my flash videos in a standalone player. Why can't I do that?

Chrome (or Chromium) is the best browser. Each tab/window is a separate process. If one crashes, it doesn't take the whole browser down. Plus, its very fast. Autofill needs work, however.

@mfdemicco, your best browser might not be mine. It's subjective. I like chrome, but it lacks certain features that I rely on.
