Why not just use a dab of nail polish over the connectors in question?

For me and almost everyone I know this isn\'t a problem.
With every phone I have had over the past decade, I have always purchased a cover for added grip and cheap insurance for those times when the inevitable happens and the phone hits the floor.
With my iPhone 3G I paid less than $10 for the rubberized cover with a belt holster for the phone.

On the Android an easy solution is to download AnyCut and set that up on one of your screens, the HTC Desire is pretty good with this as it has the people widget which allows you to group your contacts as you please.
