		<description>&lt;p&gt;I\&#039;m a relative newcomer to R, so I\&#039;m interested in seeing where this article series goes.  One thing that I\&#039;ll add though is that there is a Python interface to R available called RPy (the latest version is RPy2, which is a substantial rewrite.)  This requires compiling R as a shared library (and you\&#039;ll need to update your LD_LIBRARY_PATH) though.  For more info... http://rpy.sourceforge.net/
