&lt;p&gt;Good article as always. I think the best thing you mention is the last where you mention the potential of lower-power CPUs in HPC. I think the potential for CPUs that use less power (perhaps less then 30-40W per socket) coupled with reasonable power GPUs is tremendous. Systems of this type become affordable, manageable, and can be run in an office setting without extra power or cooling (perhaps tackling that SMB market you mention). Lots of possibilities (IMHO).&lt;/p&gt;
