Considering there are many people facing similar issues, both in the Open Source and Proprietary Worlds I find it strange that there are few real solutions, especially in the Open Source community for stuff like thin provisioning and parallel file systems without being forced to pay through the nose for them. Sure, you can use sparse files for Thin Provisioning but you lose performance. »
